  • We need either Kallis or AB to score a century to win this match.

The weather looks okay this morning, sun is out to the South of the stadium.

Lots of rain overnight, which will help the bowlers this morning.

  • We need an attacking spinner in the team as well!! IMO after the 2011 CWC, a new era in world cricket will be born. Tendukar, Ponting, Kallis, Dravid will all retire. In the 80′s it was the Windies, in the 90′s and the last decade it was the Aussies, the next decade will be dominated by the English or the Proteas. Mark my words

  • @Big Fish (Comment 32) : The Indians will lose too much experience, and will have to rely on youngsters. Also a dominating team has to learn to play on all wickets. I know this might break the rules, but cheating and cricket go hand in hand.

It is in the interest of CSA that India win this match. Think crowd in cape town.

Only Dravid and Laxman will retire now – the rest of the team have 4 or 5 more years in them.

On the sidelines they have some real talents to step up – like Kohli and Tiwari.

The playing on different wickets is fair comment – but they have steadily improved at that – hence the number 1 ranking and the good play on the Kingsmead green mamba.

After all, they have just 1 specialist spinner in their side nowadays!

If I were to get a penny for every time I have witnessed the “new dawn of English supremacy in cricket”, I would not be at work today.

I would like us to have the referral system for the Cape Town test too. It is working really well in the Ashes. Should be compulsary now for all tests, not if one team don’t want it then it is not used. Rubbish I say, we MUST use it. From what I have read it is India that never wanted it. NO team must have a say to use it or not, it must be utilised always.

  • @shaniboi (Comment 59) : Think one bad decision could cost sometimes, so if we have the technology by allowing us to have a referral system, then we must use it. Not saying we would definitely have won this test had we had the referrals, but really think it is time one rule for all, not when some teams think they can have it their own way. It is working for sure well in the Ashes.

We wont have it for the Cape Town test, but after this series it must be made compulsary for all teams. Like you say both teams benefit from it, not just one.

Hope we have a good one in Cape Town, seems our lucky ground there.
