On the 7th February, we see the return of the Varsity Cup to our TV screens and news headlines. Over the next few weeks, I will be looking at the 8 teams that will be competing for the Cup.
The teams are:
1. Maties – University of Stellenbosch
2. Ikeys – University of Cape Town
3. Shimlas – University of the Free State
4. Pukke – North-West University
5. UJ – University of Johannesburg
6. Tuks – University of Pretoria
7. TUT – Tshwane University of Technology
8. NMMU – Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University
Maties won the 2009 Varsity Cup after defeating Ikeys in the final. Maties won 7 from 7 games last year, and were deserved winners. Maties have won all three tournaments to date, and will be working hard to keep that record in tact.

oh well, I always thought it would be nice if Snoils get better – this loosing and loosing all the time is not good for SA rugga and if some sharks can help them out then so be it.
