The return all Springbok fans wanted to see this Super Rugby Competition, is that of Heinrich Brussow, and they will have to wait just that little bit longer as the player has been ruled out until March.
Brussow had to have a second operation on his torn knee ligaments after the first operation was unsuccessful. The player was pencilled in to start the Super Rugby season but the Cheetahs backline coach can only see him starting in the fourth round, which is the game between the Cheetahs and the Lions in Bloemfontein.
Another injured Cheetah, Jongi Nokwe, is also set to miss the start of Super Rugby due to a knee injury, and could even miss the entire season should he not recover.

I think the list of injuries is a bit longer than that….Strauss not up to it either, along with a list of others !
This really sucks. I rate this guy. And he needs to be at his best at RWC2011 time.
I just hope they donet rush him back into things…. Because if reports are to be believed, that is exactly what it looks like.
Hmmm..sharks by 20+ in the first game..
no sponsor, no players. will the sharks be playing griquas in the first game?
@SharksRTB (Comment 2) : plenty of time. the less games the guys play in the early season the better for the boks.
@shaniboi (Comment 4) : Careful to underestimate a team on the backfoot. They will want to prove to a potential investor that they are worthy of their money.
@try time (Comment 5) : Carefull . . we have a shaize habit of losing against the Griquas when we least expect it!
pretty sure it was 2001 when the sharks started the season without a sponsor and ended up making the final, so things can change quickly. Hopefully for there sake things pick up
Verster and Kevin de Klerk are such good buddies, after their plot to free Mapoe from the Shark Nets . . . maybe Verster can negotiate a subcontract sponsor deal from the Lions?
