CWC: England vs South Africa

This is South Africa’s first real test, and the opposition had just come off a shock loss to Ireland. Will the English bounce back to their brilliant best that we saw against India, or will this be a walk in the park for the Proteas?

The other game today sees India taking on Ireland, where I cannot see another upset on the cards, to be honest. My prediction is a quick game for the Indians.

He did some good captaining this cwc, made a 50 in the first match. Think by the round robin stages he and Kallis will hit their sweet point.

  • @Hmmm (Comment 117) : Still think van Wyk is better than Boucher. Boucher got us out of these squeezes all the time. We choked, AGAIN!! We were cruising this game how could we lose it?? I am off to India on Friday so I hope they put up a better performance against India, in Nagpur!!

  • Epic choke. Worse than what John Hughes did to Linda Lovelace in the 70′s. Well done Proteas.

  • The blame should go squarely onto Smiths’s shoulders who, when we had England totally on the racks with the spinners, decided to go for seam at both ends, ending up with Trott and Bopara’s match-winning partnership. Dumbass!

And we also need to look at how many batsmen got bowled out and how many got out playing totally KAK shots. Kallis’s feet are nowhere lately and both Amla and van Wyk gave their wickets away on a silver platter.
