It’s the penultimate round of the inaugural Super Rugby season and we kick off with a nice little New Zealand derby in Hamilton where the Chiefs tackle the Hurricanes. There has been more transfer news regarding these two teams than any other and will have the players’ minds elsewhere.
The Chiefs had news filter through that their pivot Stephen Donald will leave after the Super Season, to play in the UK. For the Hurricanes, it has come to light that both Skipper Andres Hore and inspirational centre Ma’a Nonu will not be getting new contracts and will be leaving the Hurricanes after this season.
All three these players have been named in their respective starting teams and will have a point to prove. It should make for an entertaining game, kick off is at 9h40.

@molly (Comment 5) : Nono and Hore have been undermining Hammett (The new coach) since he was appointed at the start of the season and Nonu has had discipline issues which came to a head last week when he threw the ball at a touch judge.
Hurricanes management decided that rather than go the way of the Brumbies and Proteas who were ruled by player power they would rather get rid of the shit stirrers.
Good call from them in my opinion letting the message get out that they back the coach not the prima donnas.
