Johann Muller and Heinrich Brüssow have both been included in the Springbok touring squad for the away leg of the Tri Nations. Both players have responded well to treatment and will take the trip to take on Australia and then New Zealand a week later.
Another World Cup winning player, CJ van der Linde, has been included in the squad as well after previously been called up as cover for the front row positions, as he can play on both sides.
Following the overseas leg of the Series, the Springboks host Australia in Durban on August 13 before concluding the shortened series against New Zealand in Port Elizabeth on August 20. The final Rugby World Cup squad will be named on August 23.

I’m actually quite excited to see how our ‘b’ team performs. I hope they can shut up those Aussies!
so Mossie is free to go to Paris.
@robdylan (Comment 2) :
Didn’t pick up on that..
@Richard Ferguson (Comment 3) : he he… that’s why I’m here!
@robdylan (Comment 4) :
You really should change your name to – TheBoss..
@robdylan (Comment 2) : Thats a bit unfortunate. I would have loved to see how he performed with the Boks.
@robdylan (Comment 2) : On the positive side, we seem to have an abundance of young locks reared on raw meat, snake venom and steroids, if some of today’s other articles are anything to go by…
@robdylan (Comment 2) : This is what I was asking last week, so is he still touring or has he been released from the tour?
@KSA Shark © (Comment 8) : Okay see he is not in the list. has he been included in the Sharks team? isn’t he only going to France after the CC?
On the anal side, could we please make sure that we get the players’ names right. It’s Brüssow with an umlaut. It looks a bit more professional to make sure of the spelling, especially with names and even more so when the name is part of the article headline.
Alt+129 for those who are wondering
@rhineshark (Comment 10) : Looks like living in Germany’s rubbing off on you…?
@Culling Song (Comment 11) :
Or he’s just being an ‘umlaut’
@rhineshark (Comment 10) :
Is that better, your Royal Anal-ness?
Also on the ‘anal side’, it’s now been roughly 15 minutes since the word ‘anal’ was used and not a single ‘Gay WP’ joke.
That’s just rude.
It’s common courtesy to crack at least one, even if it’s an old one.
@McLovin (Comment 14) : Anal and Crack in 1 sentence, what more do u need?
@Richard Ferguson (Comment 13) : Thanks, I’m sure Keegan Daniels will also be happy
@Culling Song (Comment 11) : @Pokkel (Comment 12) :
@JarsonX (Comment 15) : The jokes practically write themselves.
@KSA Shark © (Comment 9) : no… he’s going to France straight away
isn’t it also Müller though?
Just to be on the safe side, let’s throw those little dots on all the vowels in future
@vanmartin (Comment 21) : Wë cän try tö dö thät änd sëë höw ït göës
Looking forward to the return of Brussow but how effective will he be with the new law interpretations? Hopefully he performs like he did for the Cheetahs when they played the Waratahs.
Also hope that Muller does great, just coz he was an ex-Shark
@The Sharks Sharkie (Comment 23) : you mean Brüssow?
Hëïnrïch Brüssöw
@robdylan (Comment 24) : what’s the difference?
2 little dots on top of the u really don’t count… we all know how its pronounced anyway!
@robdylan (Comment 25) : Now you just overdoing it! Imma call him “Dot Man” from now on!
@JarsonX (Comment 22) : Awesome! Now that didn’t take very long to type, did it?
@The Sharks Sharkie (Comment 23) : He is a ex-shark actually. Not was.
@vanmartin (Comment 28) : Easy Peasy
@Ben (Comment 29) : dude… you gonna make the Pumas game next week? I guess Witbank is a bit far
@robdylan (Comment 31) : Yeah Witbank is on the other side of Pta.
@Ben (Comment 32) : bogger… maybe Tannie Ys feels like taking a group out on tour again
@robdylan (Comment 33) : Yeah sorry. I’m trying to sell that piece of shit car of mine. Don’t trust it to drive to far from home with it.
Otherwise I would have offered to go.
@Ben (Comment 29) : Its school hols, give me a break!
@Ben (Comment 34) : sorry to hear you’re still having kak with it
@robdylan (Comment 37) : You could always buy me a new one boss? We could call it a company vehicle. BIG Sharksworld stickers on the sides.
@Ben (Comment 38) : I think you might be mistaking me for someone else
