The second game of the weekend, the second in a bumper Friday night in Currie Cup, sees Western Province tackle the Lions at Newlands, a game that should be a very close encounter indeed.
Western Province has lost Nick Koster in a late change, with Nick Fenton-Wells starting in a shuffled loose trio. Province will be hoping the Bulls can pick up a win at Loftus so that they have the opportunity of taking third spot on the log.
The Lions on the other hand, have a healthy 4 point gap at the top of the log and are still unbeaten this season, and have looked at their best with young Elton Jantjies back at pivot. They have had their fair share of injury troubles, especially in the centres where they have resorted to winger Mapoe to play in the 13 jersey.
Kick-off is at 19h00, and I fancy a strong Western Province showing will dethrone the Lions at the top of the log.
