Hi Guys and Girls,

Unfortunately sometimes we have to be the bearer of bad news.

It has come to our attention that one of our fellow bloggers’ house was distroyed by a falling tree. From all of us at Sharksworld we would like to wish Dancing Bear and his family all the best. We trust and pray that you are all safe and will be able to rebuild your home soon.

Wishing you all the best!

  • Hi DB, I have been wondering how its going with you since Friday evening our time, and as human nature would have it assumed that all was OK, so reading this was not the case is a real shock. We are thinking of you and trusting that all will be sorted in time. Wish I could help somehow.

  • This is heavy news.

    For those who are concerned.

DB is single and lives in the house with Cyrus (his dog). They are being put up at a friends place for the time being.

  • Wow, I really don’t know what to say, thank you all for the comments, thoughts and prayers. I just can’t tell you how much it means. On a slightly more positive note, my house was luckily not destroyed, but there is significant damage, rendering it inhabitable at this point. Both me and my dog Cyrus were home when it happened and both were unhurt, but very shocked and stunned. Not sure how to post a pic here, but with some help I will be happy to post some pictures. Friends and neighbours here were fantastic, offering places for Cyrus and me to stay and offering room in refrigerators and freezers. I am blessed and lucky to have such wonderful friends both locally and here on Sharksworld. Thank you all again.

Things will take some time, but everyone is safe, not hurt, and it is just “things” that need to be replaced or repaired.

I honestly can’t say enough how wonderful it was to read this article and all the comments, thank you so much.

  • Sometimes when one goes through a rough time, we really get to see the true nature of our friends. I am so lucky that so many friends and neighbours have offered anything I need to get through this. And then this article, with all the comments, nothing could warm my heart more. I have only met Rob, KSA and Sharkette in person, but even though the rest of our friendships are in the virtual world, your comments meant so much to me. I am blessed with wonderful friends both in the physical world and this virtual world.
