The Bulls host the Sharks at Loftus this afternoon in a clash that, should the Bulls win, will bring them right back into top four contention, along with leveling the playing field with the Sharks and drawing level with them on points.
The Bulls have bulked up their forwards for this encounter, with Dewald Potgieter and Juandré Kruger both returning to the starting lineup. Louis Fouché will continue to run the backline that is filled with Boks outside him, a backline that looks ordinary most of the time, yet will look like superstars against the Sharks.
The Sharks have decided to start with Jean Deysel after his impressive impact off the bench against the Lions last weekend. This shuffle to the loose trio should make for some interesting viewing against the likes of Stander and Tecklenburg. The Sharks backline will have to step up if they want to feature in this game.

Even if Marcell Coetzee only manages to get his pinkie on the hem of an opponent’s sleeve, that guy is going down in the “tackle”.
The Sharks need to start using Marcell as the primary carrier. Deysel is a very carefully marked man and his upright style isn’t getting over the adv line at the moment.
Good game. Some open running rugga mixed in with strong drives off the fringe and fairly good tackling. The Bulls made a lot of mistakes early on tho.
That Tecklenberg try should be credited to Deysel, he did a great job pulling him over the line.
In that last movement there was clear obstruction… I would have shat myself if it was a try…

I have no problem with McLeod being blown for putting it in skew as he was nowhere near the middle of the scrum. BUT why didn’t Vermaak get blown for the entire 2nd half where he was doing EXACTLY the same thing?
