Cheetahs coach naka Drotske has had to change his team to take on the Sharks in Bloemfontein this weekend as a result of an injury to Philip van der Walt, who has not recovered from a knock he took against the Bulls last weekend.
Boom Prinsloo has been selected on the flank, and Johan Wessels comes onto the bench in Boom’s place to cover the loosies. Boom has been an influential player so far this Currie Cup, and is currently tied for second in the leading try scorers stakes.
Revised Cheetahs team: 15 Hennie Daniller, 14 Riaan Smit, 13 Robert Ebersohn, 12 Philip Snyman, 11 Cameron Jacobs, 10 Johan Goosen, 9 Pieter van Zyl, 8 Ashley Johnson, 7 Boom Prinsloo, 6 Lappies Labuschagné, 5 Izak van der Westhuizen, 4 Francois Uys, 3 Coenie Oosthuizen, 3 Adriaan Strauss (captain), 1 Marcel van der Merwe.
Substitutes: 16 Hercu Liebenberg, 17 Trevor Nyakane, 18 Wilhelm Steenkamp, 19 Johan Wessels, 20 Tewis de Bruyn, 21 Sias Ebersohn, 22 Philip Burger.

When the heck is WP announcing their team?

@Greg (Comment 7) :
I would suggest you trade him.. If any of the current wings get injured, my guess would be that either Stef or Ludik will shift there..
@Clayton(PJLD) (Comment 9) :
Coetzee wins this round..
where is that P van Vuuren oke? he is a talent of note!
So how’s Johan Wessels progress fairing? Haven’t seen much of him at all. He was supposed to be the next Heinrich Brussow!
@Richard Ferguson (Comment 10) : He scored some decent points for me in the first few rounds, but think you are right, his currie cup season is done, unfortunate, he played well when given the chance
@Greg (Comment 14) :
He is with Rovers at the Clubs Champs at the moment..
Im sure we will see him in SupeRugby next season!
