The DHL Stormers team to face the Lions in the DHL Pre-Season Series on Friday night has been announced, with Schalk Burger captaining the side from the 6 jersey. The team sees quite a few changes from the one that faced Boland in the friendly last week.
The backline sees a number of changes, with the man of the match Bolla Conradie falling out of the match 26 altogether. He is replaced by Louis Schrueder and will partner Gary van Aswegen in the halfbacks. The expected first choice centre combination of Jean de Villiers and Juan de Jongh get a run, whilst back three of Habana, Aplon and Pieterson ooze pace.
The loose trio of Burger, Kolisi and Koster will make for some exciting vieing as Kolisi and Koster will hope to make enough of an impact to secure a few SupeRugby starts this season.
The match kicks off at 19h00 and will not be televised. There will be a highlights reel made though, and this will presumably hit our screens at some point.

Stormers team is a mixture of exciting talent and kak. Good back 5 but will they get ANY ball to them? What’s up with the Greek? Does he not crack the nod?
