Allister Coetzee has put club before country, signing a new contract with the Stormers and Western Province, and with that declining an opportunity to work with Heyneke Meyer as a Springbok assistant.
According to a report by Eyewitness News, the contract extension will be confirmed by the union later today, and we will see the coaching team of Coetzee, Robbie Fleck and Matthew Proudfoot continue for the immediate future.
The contract is said to be until the end of the 2015 season, which will be when the next Springbok coach will be appointed, after the Rugby World Cup in England.
The Stormers start their Super Rugby campaign against the Hurricanes on Saturday evening.

Good for him and for Province.
Good on Coetzee for not just up and leaving the team to go elsewhere.
Great stuff.
Morning SW,
Well good for him he stays by his team no matter what, if i was a coach i would of jumped for that offer, but then i’m no a coach.
Good for WP
Apparently Nienaber wants to throw in his lot with the Boks, not good for Stormers.
