Time to wish one of our favourite and most dedicated Sharks legends a very happy birthday!
Odwa Nzuzo Ndungane was born this very day, 31 years ago in Umtata. Since then, he has gone on to represent the Sharks in 75 Super Rugby games (scoring 21 tries) and 58 Currie Cup matches (scoring 22 tries), not to mention playing for his country on 9 occasions. Few scores will live on in the memory of the fans, though, quite like his last second, match winning effort against the Crusaders, in Durban back in 2007.
Happy Birthday Odwa (and to brother Akona if he happens to see this). May it be a blessed day and the start of a truly magical year for you, Kgomotso and all the rest of your friends and family.

Man! When I saw the heading the first thing I thought of was sitting in my flat on jhb, watching him score that try against Sanders… and then praying that Pienaar boots it over… dam it, my neighbours were speechless after that…. and not for the Sharks beating Sanders, but the way I behaved after the kick went over….

Happy Birthday Odwa! 2008 Super 14 round 3, I was among the crowd at Loftus that day, when he kicked off my 18th birthday celebrations with the first of four tries over the Bulls on the day! That is a memory I will have forever!
