Super Rugby 2012 – Brumbies (19) vs Force (17) F/T

The second match of the season sees us turning our attention to the Australian teams where the Brumbies host the Western Force in Canberra. Both teams will be hoping to pick up some points from this game, as these will be hard to come by later in the competition.

Jake White will want to start his tenure as Brumbies coach on a positive note, and has selected a reasonable side, considering the squad he has available to him. His game will presumably be based around his decent forward pack and mobile loose forwards.

The Force have a good set of loose forwards, with David Pocock leading the trio, and the match up between the loosies should make for interesting viewing. The Force backline seems to have a bit more zest than that of the Brumbies.

All in all, it should be an interesting game, not a particularly entertaining game though, that I think the Brumbies might just sneak, based on them being the home team and very little else.

This match kicks off at 10h40

Brumbies: 15. Robbie Coleman, 14. Henry Speight, 13. Andrew Smith, 12. Christian Lealiifano, 11. Jesse Mogg, 10. Matt Toomua, 9. Nic White, 8. Ben Mowen (Captain), 7. Ita Vaea, 6. Peter Kimlin, 5. Sam Carter, 4. Leon Power, 3. Dan Palmer, 2. Stephen Moore, 1. Ben Alexander

Replacements: 16. Anthony Hegarty, 17. Ruaidhri Murphy, 18. Scott Fardy, 19. Michael Hooper, 20. Ian Prior, 21. Zack Holmes, 22. Joseph Tomane

Force: 15. Alifeleti (Alfi) Mafi, 14. Nick Cummins, 13. Winston Stanley, 12. Rory Sidey, 11. Napolioni Nalaga, 10. James Stannard, 9. Brett Sheehan, 8. Ben McCalman, 7. David Pocock (Captain), 6. Matthew Hodgson, 5. Nathan Sharpe, 4. Toby Lynn, 3. Salesi Ma’afu, 2. Nathan Charles, 1. Pekahou Cowan

Replacements: 16. Elvis Taione, 17. Kieran Longbottom, 18. Phoenix Battye, 19. Angus Cottrell, 20. Justin Turner, 21. Ben Seymour, 22. Samu Wera

  • @Ice (Comment 60) :

Unfortunately these devices receive only so much pixels and offer only a low frame rate, so if you are looking to make the screen bigger, well anything the size of an iPad in an area with little reception and you would be better off drawing pictures in the sand with Twitter recommendations.

As for internet, well the Driftas and Walka use a radio signal, so no internet connection required. Just make sure you check the DSTV site to check if the Drifta/ Walka attachment can be used where you may intend to use it, it works in most areas in major cities and their surroundings, but there is little coverage outside heavily populated areas.
