The Cheetahs have named their team to face the Brumbies this weekend, with Coenie Oosthuizen returning to the starting line up in time to start their tour, with Trevor Nyakane dropping to the bench.

Other changes to the forward pack sees George Earl getting his first Super Rugby start and Ashley Johnson starting ahead of Davon Raubenheimer. We also see Justin Downey coming onto the bench.

Willie le Roux retains his spot on the wing after making his debut last weekend, and Cameron Jacobs gets a run on the other wing, in place of Rocco Jansen. Rayno Benjamin comes onto the bench.

Cheetahs: Hennie Daniller, Cameron Jacobs, Robert Ebersohn, Philip Snyman, Willie le Roux, Johan Goosen, Tewis de Bruyn, Ashley Johnson, Philip van der Walt, Heinrich Brussow, Izak van der Westhuizen, George Earl, WP Nel, Adriaan Strauss (captain), Coenie Oosthuizen.

Reserves: Trevor Nyakane, Hercu Liebenberg, Davon Raubenheimer, Justin Downey, Piet van Zyl, Sias Ebersohn, Rayno Benjamin.

  • @Beet,Hendrikp and the Goosen fan club
I hope Johann Goosen has a good tour last week he was badly exposed by the bulls superb defence.

He would be such a great attacking force behind a bulls dominant pack.

He turned down Meyer twice whom knows he may just accept a third offer from the bulls.

It’s no secret at Loftus Goosen is their number 1 target to replace Morne Steyn.

Good luck Cheetahs have faith guys show some fighting spirit.

  • I think the Brumbies will be too much for them. Jake will have a plan for all Naka`s little tricks.

  • In the old days we had Jan Boland Coetzee, Baksteen Nel, etc.

These days we have “DoodP**s Oosthuizen”

  • Cameron Jacobs looked good on Saturday. He’s a slippery bugger. Hard to get a hold of.
