Bad news for the Cheetahs – Dan Carter has been passed fit to play for the Crusaders this weekend.
The Crusaders – who have started slowly and had a bye last week, will be playing at their new Christchurch Stadium for the first time, after their former home AMI Park suffered major structural damage during last year’s earthquake.
For the Cheetahs, who recorded a last-gasp win against the Rebels in Melbourne on Sunday, in the process recording only their second-ever win on Australian soil, the daunting prospect of a fired-up and well-rested Crusaders outfit, keen to impress at their new home ground, just got a little worse. The Canterbury side have often struggled without Carter in the past and will now look to elevate their game to its previous heights, with their first-choice pivot back in tow.
