Good news for the Sharks beleaguered second-row stocks; Alistair Hargreaves is out of his moonboot and on the way back to fitness.

Hargreaves, who’s played no rugby at all so far this year (save a few warmup games) tweeted that he’d managed to run for the first time today and hopes to be able to play a Vodacom Cup game in a few weeks time.

All the best, Al – hope to see you back soon.

  • Man it’s a shame how badly he was found wanting while playing for the Boks. Still feel he has some value to add at the Sharks. Needs to work on his physicality. Seems most Shark supporters have written him off. Hope he comes back better than ever.

  • He will have to do a lot of work to get back in the side. He definitely has the ability though!
