Greyling doubt for Bulls

The Bulls appear to have suffered a setback ahead of this weekend’s Loftus clash against the Brumbies, with fears that loose head prop Dean Greyling will be ruled out as the result of a rib injury sustained against the Lions.

Greyling was forced to leave the field in the first half on Saturday and coach Frans Ludeke will, as a result, probably have to hand former Puma prop Dawie Steyn his first taste of Super Rugby against Jake White’s side.

Another player to come off second best against the Lions was flank Dewald Potgieter, who left the field again just minutes after his comeback after an off-season injury. No details are currently available about the nature or duration of his latest blow, but he seems to also be in doubt for the weekend.

  • @wpw (Comment 5) : on current form, why wouldn’t he be? Let’s put aside the anti-Bulls bias for a second and concede that Dean is the best loosehead in the country right now by quite some distance.

We all knew Beast would take a step back in the pecking order when he broke his leg.

  • This reffing system is a bloody joke. They just have to change the damn thing next year.

We playing NZ best side and we have a bloody kiwi ref this week on our home soil and one kiwi assistant ref. Damn joke really. Not only are we playing a kiwi side, but it feels like they brought their own ref with. Sure not their fault but whoever thought this daft reffing system up sure as heck got it very, very wrong. WE have to go back to neutral refs.

Shaun Veldsman is the tmo. He too is not that great. Gets it wrong even having the replays infront of him over and over.

Ref for the Chiefs game is Garratt Willimson (NZ)
Assistant ref: Keith Brown (NZ) Reuben Rossouw (SA
    Tmo: Shaun Veldsman (SA)
