We reported this morning the injuries that the Stomers picked up over the weekend, and we have now learnt that replacement will be flown to Australia, in the form of flank Don Armand and centre Burton Klaasen.
News24.com reports that the two players are on their way to Australia as Duane Vermeulen and Gio Aplon return home a week earlier than anticipated.
Good news for the team though is that Andries Bekker is expected to be fit to play against the Force, and might well wear the captain’s armband for this match, while his second row partner Eben Etzebeth will be managed through the week before a call is made on whether he will face the Force.

I have no idea who Don Armand is
@Clayton(PJLD) (Comment 1) :
Varsity Cup player, no?
@Clayton(PJLD) (Comment 1) : I was also like what?
@Clayton(PJLD) (Comment 1) : Don`t be so hard on yourself, neither did Alister untill this morning!
he played Currie Cup for WP last year okes… come on!
@robdylan (Comment 5) : When? Tertius Daniller played for us even though we could have rather played a man short for all the good he did
@Clayton(PJLD) (Comment 6) : Maybe I’m being hard on Tertius, I think Fenton Wells was found wanting in the loose trio
@robdylan (Comment 5) :
He didn’t play Currie Cup rugby, but he did/does play for UCT.
Screams of… I won’t say it. Probably should’ve been Quinn Roux but what can you do.
@hendrikp (Comment 8) :
I’ll say it.
Favoritism for UCT players. Practically the entire team from last year has been picked up by WP.
I’m sure they were good, but not that good!
@Clayton(PJLD) (Comment 6) : oh sorry – I confusing him with that Fenton-Wells-Smyth-Dickerson-Rogers oke.
@Original Pierre (Comment 4) :
@hendrikp (Comment 9) : You know damned well that Maties actually own WP
