Consistency key for Crusaders

The Crusaders take on the Reds in the only Sunday match this weekend, and the same team that defeated the Waratahs could run onto the field, should Sean Maitland recover sufficiently from a knock he took. Should Maitland not be available to take his spot on the wing, Adam Whitelock will come into the starting line-up.

This means that Dan Carter will spend yet another week in the midfield as Tom Taylor continues at flyhalf as well as taking the kicks at goal. Richie McCaw will again play from the bench, with Kieran Read retaining the captaincy for this clash.

The Crusaders have hit top gear over the last few weekends and should continue in this vain as they take on the Reds, who have been struggling to put consecutive performances together, and will have to wake up from their slumber should they wish to be involved in the play-offs to defend their title.

  • I don`t think the Crusaders have a problem with consistency.

The most professional rugby franchise in the world me thinks.
