Cheetahs coach Naka Drotske has shuffled his troops around for the weekend clash against the Waratahs, after going down heavily to the Sharks in the previous round.

In a rotational change, Ash Johnson start the game at blindside flank, in place of Justin Downey, who’s on the bench. Lock George Earle sustained a concussion so severe it’s convinced him that he wants to live in Wales and he is replaced in the starting lineup by Andires Ferreira, with Francois Uys named on the bench.

In the only change to the backline, Cameron Jacobs has been dropped straight out of the 22, with Rocco Jansen coming in to replace him. Riaan Smit is again preferred to Sias Ebersohn at flyhalf.

Cheetahs:

15 Hennie Daniller, 14 Rocco Jansen, 13 Robert Ebersohn, 12 Andries Strauss, 11 Willie le Roux, 10 Riaan Smit, 9 Piet van Zyl, 8 Philip van der Walt, 7 Ashley Johnson, 6 Heinrich Brüssow, 5 Andries Ferreira, 4 Izak van der Westhuizen, 3 WP Nel, 2 Adriaan Strauss (captain), 1 Coenie Oosthuizen

Substitutes: 16 Hercu Liebenberg, 17 Trevor Nyakane, 18 Francois Uys, 19 Justin Downey, 20 Tewis de Bruyn, 21 Sias Ebersohn, 22 Philip Snyman
