Saturday’s third test in Port Elizabeth between the Springboks and England – dead rubber though it may be – is starting to be more of a case of “last man standing”. After confirming earlier today that star scrumhalf Ben Youngs will be unable to play, England have now lost skipper Chris Robshaw too.
The nuggety flanker has sustained a crack to his thumb bone and medical advice is that he should be withdrawn from the side.
Hooker Dylan Hartley has been confirmed as stand-in captain for the clash, while it’s not yet clear who will take Robshaw’s place at the side of the scrum.
South Africa look likely to be without both Patrick Lambie and Willem Alberts for the test, while Juandre Kruger should be passed fit to play.Tweet
