Sharksworld has learned that former Sharks three-quarter, Luzuko “Zuks” Vulindlu, is currently on trial with Griquas and looks like a good bet to be offered a contract with the central union ahead of the Currie Cup.
As we reported back in September last year, Vulindlu was released from his Sharks contract to play for Auch in France but has decided to return to the country to try and make his mark with the men in peacock blue. A proud product of Durban High School, the 24-year-old Vulindlu played for the Sharks at every age-group level before bursting onto the Super Rugby scene in 2009, as a raw youngster. Like so many other young talents at the Sharks, though, he fell out of favour for reasons unknown and was forced to endure two frustrating years of club rugby before deciding to take up a European option.
Welcome back to SA, Zuks. Let’s hope the Griquas thing works out well for you.

I remember him scoring a decent try in a preseason game against the Stormers!!
You know the year we won the much sought-after Neo Series title!!
@robdylan (Comment 2) : Stefan Watermeyer, Zuks and JP Nel
You had to put up that picture? I have forgotten how much I hate JP Nel!!!!!! Does this mean we will see him in the Currie Cup?
@Bite me (Comment 4) : at least in the first few rounds.
Then he’ll get suspended.
Great to see Griquas bringing in some good players. Keen to see some big hits from JP Nel! I liked his play for the Bulls back in the day
