The Waratahs will have a new coach for the 2013 Super Rugby season after Michael Foley resigned on Tuesday, following a rather difficult season where his team finished eleventh out of fifteen teams, albeit third in the Australian conference, but winning only four games out of sixteen.

SuperXV.com reports that the coach handed in his resignation in Tuesday, after four years with the team, in which they took part in two play-off series. Foley stated that it was rewarding to be involved with the team and that he believes the team has what it takes to turn around their current bad form.

The Waratahs Rugby Board will now oversee the process of appointing a new head coach.
