The Cheetahs have scooped yet another Bulls player, this time a forward, following news filtered in about prop Rossouw de Klerk moving to the Cheetahs following this year’s Currie Cup.

Volksblad reports that the 22 year old de Klerk will join the Cheetahs on a two year contract, starting with the 2013 Super Rugby campaign. This will go a long way in replacing WP Nel, who left the Cheetahs to further his career in Scotland.

The news of this signing comes a few weeks after the Cheetahs confirmed the signing of Johann Sadie, another Bulls player, for the 2013 Super Rugby season. There seems to be a bit of money for Naka Drotské to spend, as they look to improve on their poor showing in the 2012 Super Rugby campaign.

  • that’s a blow to the boys in Blue… the last thing they need is to lose any props because the ones they have are hardly setting the world alight.

A recall there being some concerns about this boy’s scrumming, though… I remember Chadwick giving him a real working over in last year’s Currie Cup.
