It seems that reports earlier that Paul Jordaan is fine were slightly incorrect, as the Sharks are waiting on the young centre to prove his fitness before naming their team to face the Lions this weekend.
Rugby365.com reports that Jordaan will have to pass a late fitness test on Thursday should he wish to face the Currie Cup defending champions this weekend, struggling with a hamstring that just does not want to heal properly.
According to quotes from coach John Plumtree, Jordaan has not trained this week, but that the team is hoping he will ready to train by Thursday.
We are expecting the Sharks team to be announced on Thursday, as Wednesdays are generally their day off, and this team will confirm whether returning players such as Anton Bresler, Louis Ludik and Charl McLeod will start the match, or be introduced from the bench.

Give him the weekend off already!!
He’ll get himself properly injured if he isn’t given the necessary time to recover.
@vanmartin (Comment 1) :
Agreed!
When will Tim Whitehead be back? I say move Louis Ludik to the wing, Odwa to outside centre (or vice versa), and keep he-who-shall-not-be-named on the bench.
@Culling Song (Comment 3) :
Timmy should be back for the Cheetahs clash (1 September) That would have been 4 weeks on the sidelines..
Gooi Burden in at outside centre, as apposed to our other option at 13 I think he’ll prove to be a match winner.
Is Kyle Cooper injured?
Give this guy the month off and make sure he is ready when he comes back…it’s been months since he completed a game.
Just slot Ludik straight in at 13 and we should be okay.
