Currie Cup action kicks off with Super Rugby’s Cheetahs teams facing off against each other, with Griquas hosting the Cheetahs in Kimberley. It should be a pretty tight game, but with the form Griquas have shown in the first two rounds, the Cheetahs could have it easier than expected.
Griquas have had many disruptions in their first three weeks, with season ending injuries and suspensions, but have named a solid team to do battle this afternoon, hoping for their first win of the season.
The Cheetahs welcome back Johan Goosen after a four month layoff, and he should get the Bloemfontein side back into the groove of things after their up and down start to the Currie Cup.
As I said, in previous years we would have backed Griquas for the win, but I suspect the Cheetahs will be too strong this afternoon.
