After working his way into the Wallabies squad after missing most of the Super Rugby season, Drew Mitchell is in line for another year on the sidelines, and another missed season of Super Rugby ahead for the winger.
Rugby365.com reports that Mitchell ruptured an ankle tendon in Australia’s 22 – 0 defeat to New Zealand, with the winger told that the recovery after surgery anything up to 12 months.
This is the umpteenth time that Mitchell is forced into rehabilitation following serious injuries, and it remains to be seen if he will make it back into the Australian side after yet another setback.

A shame, because I’d put him down as easily one of the best (if not the best) wingers in world rugby when he’s fit.
