Word from the Bok camp in Australia is that hooker Adriaan Strauss is the only injury doubt ahead of this weekend’s Rugby Championship clash in Perth.
The Cheetahs hooker, who is also Bok vice-captain, has picked up a mild knee ligament strain and is considered doubtful for the game at this stage. Should Strauss be unavailable for the game, the Boks would presumably start with their third hooker in as many weeks, handing a first test start to Tiaan Liebenberg in the process. Sharks man Craig Burden would come onto the bench and would thus also be in line for a first appearance for the Boks.
Heyneke Meyer is apparently contemplating further changes to the team in light of the disappointment in Mendoza 10 days ago, with Ruan Pienaar mooted to start at scrumhalf ahead Francois Hougaard, who will probably replace Lwazi Mvovo at left wing.Tweet
