The Cheetahs have made a single change for their clash against Griquas this weekend, with Sias Ebersohn’s yo-yoing between the starting team and the bench continuing, with the young flyhalf getting a chance to start again.

Ebersohn replaces Tewis de Bruyn in the pivot jersey, with de Bruyn dropping to the bench as cover for both halfback positions.

On the bench, Coenie Oosthuizen has been called up to the Springbok team and is replaced by Maties prop Brummer Badenhorst, who is set to make his debut for the Bloemfontein team.

Free State Cheetahs: 15 Hennie Daniller, 14 Nico Scheepers, 13 Raymond Rhule, 12 Robert Ebersohn (captain), 11 Rayno Benjamin, 10 Sias Ebersohn, 9 Sarel Pretorius, 8 Philip van der Walt, 7 Lappies Labuschagne, 6 Heinrich Brüssow, 5 Izak van der Westhuizen, 4 Francois Uys, 3 Ross Geldenhuys, 2 Hercu Liebenberg, 1 Marcel van der Merwe.

Substitutes: 16 AJ le Roux, 17 Brummer Badenhorst, 18 Carl Wegner, 19 Hendro Scholtz, 20 Tewis de Bruyn, 21 Philip Snyman, 22 Andries Strauss.

  • I would love both teams to win but that isn’t possible. Best result will prob be a cheetahs win with the bulls losing this weekend to us putting the bulls back at the bottom
