After the success of the auction yesterday, we have a winner of the signed Sharks jersey raffle competition.

Before we get there, just a HUGE thank you to everyone that bought tickets and got involved. We managed to sell 120 tickets between the site and the school, and with the auction and various donations, we have managed to raise just short of R11 000. I will round up the difference and give the amount to the guardian of Wynand to pay for the funeral as well as go towards some of the hospital costs they have been billed for.

The winner of the raffle jersey is young Juan Naudé, a Grade 5 pupil from Kuswag Hoërskool. Wel gedaan Juan, ek is seker jy sal jou trui geniet! Dankie aan al die leerders wat kaartjies gekoop het!

For those who missed it yesterday, the auctioned was won by Gavin Bird for R2950 – congratulation Gavin, and thank you again!

Again, a massive thank you to everybody for getting involved in some way or another, especially Sally Munisamy from the Sharks who arranged the jerseys to be signed and Rob Otto for allowing me to take this to the site.

  • Well done everyone.
Congrats to those who got the Jerseys and what better way to hook a youngster for life than him being lucky enough to be the winner.

    Excellent result.
