Springbok coach Heyneke Meyer, already dealing with a list of injured players that will not be touring to Europe at the end of this week, has some fresh concerns in the form of two injuries picked up over the weekend.
The biggest concern is that of Francois Louw, who injured his neck in Bath’s Aviva Premiership match against Exeter on Saturday – compacting vertebrae in his neck – and will go for scans today to confirm the extent of the injury.
Adriaan Strauss is another player who is a concern, having been ruled out of the Cheetahs’ promotion/relegation match against the Kings on Friday night. He will also go for scans today to confirm what exactly is wrong.

Flo would be a HUGE loss. We don’t really have other players available that play similarly and Heyneke will NEVER pick a small oke like Deon Fourie.
Brussow is still injured as far as I know and Minnie hasn’t even been starting for the Lions.
I can’t see Heyneke calling up somebody like Kriel or Schoeman. If Flo can’t play I assume we’ll go on the EOYT without a ‘fetcher’.
@Pokkel (Comment 1) :
HM will most likely go for Arno Botha somewhere in the loose trio then, he is not likely to play both Alberts and Coetzee in the starting line-up..
We are in trouble, you can’t go without a quality fetcher. I would give Schoeman a chance to show what he has, maybe Minnie, but he is still recovering from his injury and doubt he is 100% match fit. Kriel has just started to come threw and Fourie said he is moving back to hooker so Schoeman should be the logical chose
I wish Lambie will just say he is injured, rest up and be ready for Sharks rugby.
Is Karma trying to tell Meyer something, perhaps? All these injuries are adding up to a bit of a pig’s ear of a squad. So who’s going to make it into a silk purse? Hypothetical question time: If Morne falls over and hurts his brain cell and if Elton spills some of that gooey, shiny stuff he puts on his hair on the bathroom floor and then slips over in it, and if Sideshow Bob hits himself in the eye with a dreadlock while putting his hairband on and Jaco Taute gets a severe case of the runs… Who do you think will play at 10 and 15, because Lambie’s bum is superglued to the bench.
Karma’s a bitch, HM. Best you don’t piss her off any more than you already have…
@Uli (Comment 4) : Don’t worry… He will be rested after spending three weeks on the bench.
@Shaz (Comment 5) : Shaz ma’am you gonna have to get used to it as Lambie will not be used at 10, and even 15 for that matter. here is more or less the 22 i predict for the first test.

@Shaz (Comment 6) : He will be seated somewhere on the main stand lol
@sharks_lover (Comment 7) : Don’t forget to add ‘player 23′ for EOYT!
@Mutley (Comment 3) : Schoeman is still a bit inaccurate for international rugby – he gave away plenty penalties in the Kwas game at Kings Park
Well, is Louw is out, who will be the replacement fetcher?
Marnus Schoeman maybe? He was the stand-out fetcher in Currie Cup rugby and much better than the others we’ve seen. Then, there’s always Jacques Botes
Marcel & Brits can fetch.Keegan & Deon Fourie can fetch as well. What about Botes & Downey?We do have so called fetchers to use. As an outside shot,what about Deysel?
