Derick Hougaard, the liefling of Loftus, may yet return to the Blue Bulls, even if it is not in a playing capacity.

The Beeld reports that Hougaard is close to signing a deal with the Bulls to join them in a coaching capacity. It is reported that he will be a kicking consultant for the junior teams at the Bulls, who are loaded with talented young flyhalves.

Hougaard’s playing career is on hold after an Achilles injury struck in 2010 whilst playing for Saracens, after representing the Bulls and the Boks between 2002 and 2007 before he moved to Leicester for two seasons.
