The new Sharks Super Rugby jerseys for the 2013 season have been released.
The marketing folks have opted for a very clean and simple, even classic, design this time around, with the home jersey predominantly black, with just the tiniest amount of white trim to keep things interesting . The away jersey adopts a similar theme, only with the colours reversed.
Here are the jerseys, images courtesy of the Shark Cage, where you can order them online. Alternatively, you can pick one up at any good sports shop, for the ridiculous but expected price of around R600.

As I said in the previous post, it just looks boring, as if no thought or effort went into the design. White looks better than black. The MR Price Logo also doesn’t look right, think the white border for the lettering is a bit thing.
Maybe it will look better in real life but I am still dissappointed after the 2011 and 2012 Jerseys…

Love the new jersey! A simple design is far better. The home version is hanging in my cupboard.

@MikeVS (Comment 9) : What you cant see in the pictures is that the badges and trims are not printed on like the 2011/12 versions which I like. They are real badges, even the Reebok and Maxed ones. Other than that, it’s pretty much what I expected from the pics. I didn’t like the 2011/12 version but it grew on me, maybe this one will grow on you.

They should really consider making the super rugby jersey the traditional black and white that is used in the currie cup be more proud of our colours and the original design

@war1 (Comment 11) : you need to be specific here. They are plastic stick on badges this year. One accidental iron or one hot wash or one hot tumble dry and it’s f???ed. The printed logos could not be damaged in any way. For that specific reason I did NOT buy one of each of these Jerseys today.
Why buy something that will either have a cracked or damaged logo in 3 months.
@KSA Shark © (Comment 23) : They are nadges and not plastic. But the Mr Price logos are still plastic. I wouldn’t tumble dry anything made out of this material anyway.

Just had a look at it @ Totalsports… Ai a pitty they went back to the stickers-printing…. Now I don’t know… It looks good but I don’t like the stickers-printing….

No matter what jersey, it is the team that makes what it takes.
Please tell me that the designer was not paid for that! I mean seriously…any kid could come up with that. Personally id like the super rugby jersey to resemble the Currie Cup kit…

by the time I had finally started Gold Zone were sold out and now I am dithering between red and black zone but I am going to KP to check out which seats are available and the view from there. The last ones I had I really hated so am being a bit of a pain now.
I am also going to miss 2 home matches this year
The Kings and Blues as we are going to Italy from 20 June to 18 July 
Fortunately though before I go, I get to go and support the Boks against the very fearsome foe from Italy

I heard about that storm…sounded terrible. To be honest we need the rain in NN. It seems like all the rain have been missing us. I spoke to some of my farmer clients today and if they don’t get rain soon they could lose a lot of money.

I have an idea… How about i take my design, change it to the Sharksworld logo (Emroided), We get some sponsors for the logos and make our own Supporters jersey? Maybe we can get permission to use the SuperRugby logo etc???
