Mr Price Kings Park will again be known as simply Kings Park, after the naming rights deal with Mr Price ended on the 1st of January 2013.

Even though the stadium naming rights deal has expired, the brand will continue to be the title sponsors of the team.

Management are in talks with other companies to get a Stadium naming rights deal in place as soon as possible.

The first match at Kings Park will be between the Sharks and the Stormers on Saturday, 2 March 2013.

  • On the subject of naming rights, is it just me or have the ozzies failed to get a sponsor for their SR competition over there?

  • @FireTheLooser (Comment 2) : No you are right. Just checked and they failed to secure a major sponsor before the start last week. We will have to wait and see what happens here?

  • @Viking (Comment 3) : Which makes me wonder: Why are they given equal partnership in the SANZar deal?

They’re not pulling the funds, their rugby is pretty much up to maggots, yet they still make competition changing decisions which are just accepted, implemented and gobbled up.

  • Speaking of sponsors and whatnot. Can some lone shed some light on why the sharks replica jerseys are ot such poor quality compared to the other teams? Why on ours is the sponsors and s15 logos plakked on when its integrated in other teams jersey fabric? And then they charge as much…

    Rant over
