Cheetahs coach Naka Drotske has rewarded Sarel Pretorius’ form off the bench last week, by handing the livewire scrumhalf a start in Hamilton.

The change at scrumhalf, where Pretorius replaces Piet van Zyl, is the only change to the starting fifteen that went down narrowly to the Sharks last weekend.

On the bench though, we see tow changes. Riaan Smit is in for Elgar Watts, who is confirmed as injured, with Burton Francis getting the call to fly to New Zealand as cover. Francis will arrive too late to be involved this week, but is set to feature next weekend against the Highlanders.

Waltie Vermeulen is also injured after coming onto the field during the match against the Sharks, and he is replaced by Ligtoring Landman as second row cover.

Prop Coenie Oosthuizen will once again make his impact off the bench, after coming into play at half time against the Sharks last weekend. There is still no sign of Heinrich Brüssow, who will most likely come into the selection frame next week.
