The Bulls may yet be a further man down as they embark on their “tour of hell” of the Anitpodes tomorrow. While winger Bjorn Basson looks likely to miss the trip after a serious ankle injury against the Force on Saturday, it has emerged that hooker Chiliboy Ralepelle has further been cited after his conduct in that match.
Ralepelle is alleged to have charged into a ruck illegally, making contact with Force winger Alfi Mafi without using his arms. According to SuperSport, the citing commissioner has deemed that the incident warranted a red card, although no on-field action was taken by the referee.
Ralepelle will attend a hearing at 15h30 today and if found guilty, could well be suspended for enough of the tour to make it pointless for him to travel. The Bulls play the Blues, Crusaders, Reds and Brumbies over the next four weeks.

FAAARK. look at that line up. 0 from 4 very possible, if not probable
@West Indies Cricket Board (Comment 1) : Very possible!!!
@West Indies Cricket Board (Comment 1) : yup…
Saw the Chili thing on the news last night and it looked quire reckless…I will be suprised if he gets off without any suspension
@West Indies Cricket Board (Comment 1) : World cups has pool of death, Superugby has the tour of death and the bulls has it…Good luck to them though.
@Viking (Comment 5) : I almost feel sorry for them….almost
Chili gets burned?
Chili got pinged a few times in the match, wasn’t his best day at the office.
@West Indies Cricket Board (Comment 6) : Its going to be interesting how the log changes over the next couple of weeks…
Didn’t janneman punch fourie on sat? Not a cite in sight for that it seems.
@McLovin (Comment 10) : That beard of his is punishment enough!
@Viking (Comment 9) : well, kings up next, then brumbies and rebels. brumbies at home, thank goodness. We could be 5 from 5 pretty easily come Crusaders time, and then we’ll have our tails up.
@West Indies Cricket Board (Comment 12) : I hear you..But lets take it one week at a time, especialy this week. I would like to see nothing more than the Sharks giving the Kings a proper welcome to Super Rugby. However I have this feeling that the Kings are not going to be the walkover that we would like it to be. They will probably be very motivated after the win against the Force but hopefully the bye this weekend would have disrupted some of the confidence from that win.
@McLovin (Comment 10) : Can you really blame anyone for punching Fourie
He is such an annoying git.
Jokes aside, I do rate him as an open-side flank though – not a hooker.
@Viking (Comment 13) : im expecting them to come extremely hard at us in the first 20 or so. Best thing would be to absorb it, keep it slow and kill them off later. really anything less than bp win would be mission failed.
@West Indies Cricket Board (Comment 15) : Yeah they will be full of optimism. If they get a couple of points that could persist for the full game but if we keep them at bay for the first 20 at score a try or two it could just be what we need to break them and get that ellusive bonus point. With the rate that the Chiefs and Blues started this year we will need to make these games count.
@McLovin (Comment 10) :
You’re basing your call on that annoying troglodyte’s whingeing to JK?
If ever anyone were to challenge Derrick Kuun’s position as biggest asshole to play rugby in SA, it would be him.
@Big Fish (Comment 17) : Nah, they showed a replay.
Interesting to hear Fourie is so annoying. Never realised.
@McLovin (Comment 18) :
If it happened then it should be cited. No place in the game for that crap.
@Big Fish (Comment 20) : Agree, though I’m not holding my breath.
@Bokhoring (Comment 14) :
I hear Fourie’s nickname is GIMLI after the dwarf in Tolkein’s “Lord of the Rings!
you guys are saying Jannie punched Fourie?
@robdylan (Comment 23) : I’m saying it. But I’m starting to think I might have been the only one to see it.
@robdylan (Comment 23) : @McLovin (Comment 24) : It wasn’t even a snot-klap. Not close to what Jannie did to that Canes prop last year for which he also evaded siting.
@McLovin (Comment 24) : I didn’t see it…. and I have to believe that if there was any video footage of it whatsoever, Jannie would have been cited.
@robdylan (Comment 23) : I’d like to see that replay. Fourie had a black eye before he even ran onto the field.
@robdylan (Comment 26) : Many a punch has been caught on camera and gone uncited.
Just to be clear I don’t really care whether he gets cited or not.
@Big Fish (Comment 17) : troglodyte!!! Lmfao. Never heard that before. Changing my pic to a troglodyte…
@West Indies Cricket Board (Comment 30) : very nice
@robdylan (Comment 31) : ty. That was quick
@West Indies Cricket Board (Comment 32) : it’s automated these days
