There was good news for the Bulls ahead of their Antipodean tour, with Advocate Jannie Lubbe finding hooker Chiliboy Ralepelle not guilty of any offence, despite being cited for a “red card-worthy offence” during Saturday’s clash against the Force at Loftus.
Lubbe, aided by former Sharks and Munster winger Shaun Payne, heard defensive arguments from Ralepelle’s agent-cum-lawyer Gerrie Swart during last night’s hearing at Montecasino in Johannesburg, before dismissing the case against the Bok hooker. Ralepelle is now free to depart with his team-mates on tour today.
There was also better-than-expected news for winger Bjorn Basson; his injured ankle is not as serious as was first thought and while he will not depart with the team today, he should join them in around a fortnight, in time for the Australian leg of the tour.

Well the Bulls will need all the help they can get for the tour that they have. Good luck boys…
If they win one match on tour they would have done well.
@McLovin (Comment 2) : I agree, it is very very tough, only team I’ll give them a chance against are the Reds, the rest should on their good day beat them
@Ludz (Comment 3) : Look its gonna be tough but I expect them to come away with a win or two. The Bulls remain a quality outfit and if things go their way can beat any team on the day. But 1 from 4 would not be unrealistic. I just wonder what are their realistic expectations?
