Everitt keeps it steady

The Sharks XV side to take on the EP Kings in Port Elizabeth tomorrow afternoon shows a single rotational change to the outfit that recorded a handy win over Boland at Kings Park last week.

Unfortunately, talk during the week that Willem Alberts might enjoy some game time for the side in this fixture seems to have come to naught, with the big Bok flanker still sidelined after shoulder surgery in pre-season.

Allan Dell, who has been named to tour with the Super Rugby side as the fourth prop, has carried a heavy workload to date during the campaign, starting virtually every match to date and he will get a bit of a rest this week as he’s named on the bench. Apart from this rotational change (with Danie Mienie coming in at loosehead) the side is unchanged.

Sharks XV:
15 Gouws Prinsloo, 14 S’bura Sithole, 13 Marius Joubert (capt), 12 Heimar Williams, 11 Sizo Maseko, 10 Fred Zeilinga, 9 Tian Meyer, 8 Guy Alexander, 7 Brynard Stander, 6 Francois Kleinhans, 5 Peet Marais, 4 Jandre Marais, 3 Maks van Dyk, 2 Monde Hadebe, 1 Danie Mienie
16 Franco Marais, 17 Allan Dell, 18 Gideon Koegelenberg, 19 Khaya Majola, 20 Murray Bondesio, 21 Andre Esterhuizen, 22. Jaco van Tonder

  • Thought Mtembu was on the bench for the Sharks tomorrow? Who’s loose forward cover for the boys then? Minnie?
