Rugby for nothing (and your kids for free)

The Sharks have done it again, folks – there’s a full program of rugby on at Kings Park stadium this weekend and the cherry on top for cash-strapped families is that scholars will be admitted without charge.

A clever bit of schedule manipulation has seen the order switched around in this second round of matches; in the first round, the Sharks played the Lions directly after Griquas but this time they’ve been spared two away games in a row and will rather face the cheetahs in Durban before heading up to Johannesburg. That’s significant, because it means the senior fixture now dovetails with the under 19 and under 21 matches against the same opposition.

What that translates to is a full program of Sharks-v-Cheetahs goodness, with the under 19s kicking off at 11h30, the under 21s at 13h00 and then the main event at 15h00. There’ll even be a concert by electro-swing outfit GoodLuck after the game.

Be sure to head down to the Sharks ticket office to pick up adult tickets and free passes for scholars; scholars attending without an adult will still need to collect a pass ahead of the game.

  • Great stuff KZNRU. Lets hope you can overcome the Durban apathy this time, unlike the Women’s day event.

C’mon Durbanites get off your arses and attend the game.

  • Rob, I’m flying in from Zambia and want to take my sons to the game. Sorry to ask you, can we only get tickets/passes at the stadium or can this be done through computicket?

  • @Bayshark (Comment 10) : mate, I would imagine you can pick up tickets from the stadium ticket office ahead of the game.

I mean, despite the Sharks’ best intentions, I’d be very surprised if it sells out before Saturday.
