So my good mate War1 just sent me a message that made me chuckle…. along the lines of “I knew a guy who wanted to buy the new Bulls jersey, but couldn’t find one”.

That’s right, folks, the wooden spoon contenders from Pretoria have seemingly taken much inspiration from the way they disappeared during this year’s Currie Cup campaign and have opted to go the whole hog in 2014, with a camouflage kit design that is unlikely to be imitated any time soon. With the previous shocking pink away jersey doing much to open up the Bulls brand to a hitherto untapped sector of the population (hello sailor!), the Bulls seem to have doffed the cap (or is that army beret?) to their more traditional fan base, by producing a garment that you can wear both at Loftus and on your next weekend hunting trip.

Watch this kief YouTube clip showing off the new design in all its, um, Bulls-ness.

  • Personally the away strip is a LOT better than that pink stuff! Im not goign to pass too many comments as the Sharks new jersey hasnt been unveiled yet. But looking at the other BLK kits it doesnt seem like it will be flashy. Pretty much similar to what the kings kit looked like this year im guessing.

There was one of our away strips that was really good looking some years ago. It had a hint of grey in them. Memory is very vague on this, but that was a nice away strip.

  • there is no way Smitty is going to mess with tradition – trust me.

We may see a bit of unusual styling on the away jersey – perhaps – but I would be really surprised if we move away from black & white.

  • Please respect the people on the other side of the Jukskei River/Boerewors-curtain to choose their own jersey’s. Hopefully ours will be much better looking! There is absolutely no relationship between the jerseys you wear and the rugby you play !Ask Jean Deysel, he played out of his skin with no jersey on! GO SHARKSS 2014 is ours !

  • Spot on from the Bulls marketing guys, these jerseys will appeal to their fan base.
Now half the stadium wont have to go home after the hunt for a change of clothing, they can go straight from the veld to the stadium. Maybe not such a good idea, some fool might sneak in his 30 06 and take a pot shot at Lambie as he is lining up a shot at goal. They did this with a laser at some stage.

The Kings jerseys, home and away, were essentially copies of the Sharks black and white jerseys, nothing original.
