Saracens have posted more information on their website about the upcoming friendly against the Sharks, to kick off at 14h30 on Saturday 25 January, at Allianz Park in North London.

Dubbed the “Sanlam Private Investments Shield”, the game marks the first time the Sharks will run out under the tutelage of Jake White and with both teams committed to fielding their strongest available line-ups, there should be no lack of intensity, even despite inevitable rustiness from the Sharks.

Tickets are available form the Saracens website, from as little as £22 per person if you buy in advance.

I’ll be taking my lovely wife to the game and would be keen to meet up with other Sharksworld readers for a drink afterwards, if there’s any interest. Just let me know via the comments below.

  • Considering that Saracens have an Anglo Welsh Cup Fixture the very next day, their “strongest available team” is probably going to be a B side.

  • @KSA Shark © (Comment 4) : yeah, I think you’re right. That word “available” hides a multitude of sins.

Then again, don’t they usually play a weaker side in the AW Cup? I mean, that’s not their main tournament, is it?

  • @KSA Shark © (Comment 4) :

AW Cup is the English equivalent of the Vodacom Cup.
Sarries play in the Premiership and the Heineken Cup.

I’ll porbably be there Rob. My birthday a few days before and I think the mrs is arranging something for me. If not, will join you.
