It’s always fun to see what the Aussie have to say about our teams.

Fox Rugby in Australia have put a set of “Beginners’ Guide” videos up on Youtube, presumably to introduce new viewers to the teams participating in Super Rugby.

Here’s what they have to say about our beloved Sharks. If for no other reason, watch to see some awesome footage of Bismarck and Willem Alberts hurting people!

  • The Aussies are kakking themselves. They know how good the Sharks are and they know how good Jake White is.

  • @Dunx (Comment 5) : Well if they want it to be realistic it should feature some Headbutts from Bakkies, a Powerslam or two ( Wasserman ), and the obligatory guy falling on the opponent try scorer with a knee after the whistle ( take your pic from F A Meiring all the way through to Goldielocks Olivier ) ….
Also Craig Joubert and M Jonker will feel hard done by if they don t get cameo roles …

  • Finally plucked up the courage to look at our schedule this year.

It`s a bit of a mixed bag unfortunately.

Good News : We`ll miss the Chiefs in the round robin.
Bad News : We also miss the Force!

It gets worse, we face the Brumbies, Crusaders and Blues AWAY !

The only relatively easy points I see for us on tour is the Rebels who we have first up.
Another positive is that there`s no ” To and Fro ” between NZ and OZ for us this year.

  • Dude, it’s a great schedule. The run of home games at the beginning of the season is just what the Sharks need to get their confidence up, and it makes the other teams have to face the awful humidity that is Durban in March. Then as you mention the NZ AUS section is quite forgiving. Added to that a clean injury sheet and a positive new coach. Really, and I mean this, the Super Rugby trophy is ours to lose this year.
