Yes ladies and gentlemen, if you are having any sort of count down to the start of Super Rugby, you will know that we are within three days of the start of the 2014 Rugby season (Real rugby).

I have seen an increase in the numbers of daily additions to our SuperBru pools, which indicate people are as excited as I am about the rugby finally starting. So here is a complete list of all competitions being run this year, with their codes and passwords. This also creates the perfect thread to put down any advise you may have for rookies to any of the games.

Firstly, there is the big SuperBru prediction pool. As it stands this morning, we are sitting with 237 users, a new record high for Super Rugby. If you are yet to join, here is the pool code one last time – BULLHANG.

A first on SuperBru is the Fantasy Super Rugby competition, which runs a lot like our very own JustRugby.net Fantasy League, where you select a squad and score points based on your players’ performance. To join this pool on SuperBru, just search for the poolcode – STIRACME.

Speaking of JustRugby.net – as Rob has pointed out earlier in the week, those competitions also start this weekend, with Rob so kindly allowing you to make changes to your team up to Saturday afternoon. Make sure to visit JustRugby.net, log in and get your team in and make your Last Man Standing selection. If you miss the start, you will be behind in Fantasy League and will simply not be able to play LMS.

In case the above is not enough and you feel you want to spend your entire Thursday putting together teams and selections, I have created a Sharksworld League on Ultimate Dream Teams (UDT). We have run UDT leagues for a few seasons now, with an increase every season. The league code for that one is – 7787998814176

So there you have it. If you have any questions or queries, or would just like to challenge every single person on the forum to a duel off, below is your chance to get the competition spirits up. Good luck to all.

  • Richard, sorry for the noob question here but I’m new to the UDT game  Will a reminder with a link be emailed out for that? I did join the Sharksworld league but just not sure how to proceed with my team selections.

  • @Greg (Comment 1) :

I don’t think any emails are sent out from UDT.

You have to log onto their site, and click on the Manage Team tab to select your team and select a Captain, Vice Captain and Kicker.

The link to log in is:

Just remember the following few things:

Limited to three players per team.

You usually only get 6 transfers a round, but because of only two games in the first round, you will be given 10 transfers after the round.

You are limited to 85 transfers over the course of the tournament, with 200 million to spend on players. Make sure to mix up expensive players with some youth to put in your reserves (Cheap buys).

  • If you REALLY like fantasy rugby, there is also testrugby.com, where you select a squad of only 12 players per round

I’ve tried that, but I can’t say that I like the concept.

A team consists of 15 players, not 12..

But you are right, that is another option..

  • We are now sitting at 48 hours to go.

On SuperBru, we are closing in on 250 users registered for the Super Rugby Pool, while the Fantasy pool has crossed 100 users already!

  • @Richard Ferguson (Comment 11) : Yip I`m in.

Now the million dollar question : How are we suppose to select fantasy sides when we don`t have any team sheets from NZ and Oz?

Hope we get a lot of free trades next week . . .
