Things are going from bad to worse for the Cheetahs; yesterday we reported that Lappies Labuschagne and Raymond Rhule looked doubtful for their Friday clash against the Reds in Brisbane, but this morning we hear that two other – rather important – players are under an injury cloud as well.
According to Rugby365, star tighthead Coenie Oosthuizen is apparently battling with another neck problem and will go for a scan today to assess the damage. Oosthuizen’s neck has given him problems in the past and Naka Drotske and his coaching team will have fingers thoroughly crossed that the big prop hasn’t suffered a recurrence of the problem that curtailed his 2012 season.
The other player apparently struggling is flyhalf Johan Goosen, who has some knee pain. Goosen has spent a large part of the last two seasons on the sidelines for one reason or another and it’s hoped that this latest problem isn’t related to the serious knee injury he suffered last year.Tweet
