The Sharks under 19 side go into tomorrow’s game against the EP Kings needing as many log points as possible, knowing that their visitors (as well as the team that beat them last week, the Lions) are both pushing hard to knock them out of semi-final contention.

Coach James Fleming has made changes to the three-quarter line this week, opting to move powerful Grey College old boy Marius Louw (who was a flanker at school) to inside centre. Louw has been used mostly at 13 so far this year, but will move closer to the action to maximise use of his power this week. Marcel Coetzee moves from wing to outside center, with Retied Marais coming into the number 11 jersey.

The starting pack, as well as the rest of the backline, is unchanged.

This week, another former Grey boy, Andrew du Plessis, will cover prop off the bench as Wesley White comes into the number 16 jersey. Promising Morne Joubert unfortunately sustained a hamstring injury against the Lions, so his place on the wood goes to Malcolm Cele.

  • Centres and flanks seem to be interchangeable at the Sharks.
