This is in my opinion a blessing in disguise for our world cup chances, but I really feel sorry for Jean. :(

How many Bok’s have broken their jaw in the last 20 years? It is a rare injury, and he has done it twice in the same season? In my mind just has to be related.

  • A much better performance from the Boks0 just amazes me that it takes for us to play Samoa before we started playing aggressive, physical rugby again. I still think we shift the ball wide too early sometimes and should rather get cleverer about moving the ball left and right as opposed to just down the line. I also think we need to think bout how we set up our scrums- cant have Matfield (who isnt a a good or heavy scrummager) and Louw (who barely binds on the scrum) both scrumming behind Jannie, the poor oke is on a hiding to nothing. Then lastly you have to feel for Jean DeVilliers, incredibly unlucky with injuries and thats prob the reason he never realised his true full potential.

  • @pastorshark (Comment 89) : Well it’s not a bad option. Just that Pollard is still very untried at Centre. There is of course also the option of moving JP in to Centre mvovo back on wing and serf or pollard on 12.
