  • Apologies for some of the minor layout errors, it was kind of hard to get it to all fit and line up.

  • A few observations on things I clearly missed while watching the game:
    - Sharks are second in ball steals. I definitely focused on the Jags success at the breakdown without realising we were actually besting them there.
    - Ettienne Oosthuizen’s contribution in defence. Happy to see him quietly getting on with the hard graft as a 4 lock should.
    - Esterhuizen’s turnovers won. Impressive to see a backline player come in second.

  • Great stuff, clearly a lot of work has gone into this, its much appreciated.

I watched the Stormers / Cheetahs game with one eye and it seemed that every time I looked up the Cheetahs hooker was throwing the ball to Etzabeth. It was crazy how he was just taking their ball as if they were meant for him.

  • @vanmartin (Comment 3) : think the Sharks did really well in the game but what stood out was the number of turnovers conceded by the Sharks whilst attacking in or close to Argies 22! Think I counted about 6!

  • @Salmonoid the Subtle (Comment 4) : not sure about the stats but at one stage I was sure the hookers changed sides as both Cheetahs and Stormers won more balls on opposition lineout than they won with their own lineouts!

  • @Salmonoid the Subtle (Comment 4) : Think we need to start our best lineout hooker this weekend. Anyone know who that is?

  • @Hulk (Comment 7) : after the weekend I think it should be Marais. Although I’m not sure how good the Argies lineout was he really did good.
