Glenwood High School (founded 1910) or affectionately known as the ‘Grasshoppers’ or Green Machine by rivals have since 2000 developed into one of KZN’s strongest rugby schools. They have always featured in the Top 10 premier schools in KZN rugby for the past 100 years (producing 6 Springboks, over 50 Natal/Sharks and over 150 KZN Schools players) but it’s only since current Headmaster, Trevor Kershaw and the management at Glenwood decided to improve all sporting codes via a Sports Academy of Excellence has Glenwood seen a rapid improvement in their rugby.
