Another player lost to Stormers
The Stormers and Western Province, having lost a fair number of juniors over the last few months to the likes of the Bulls, Sharks and even Brumbies, will also be without the services of a more senior player next year. Habana: ZAR > Yen
In a somewhat surprising move Western Province have announced the extension of Bryan Habana’s contract, and its not a one year extension, its a THREE year one. After the rumour mill started doing the rounds that he was in talks with Japanese Clubs, Habana took to twitter to rubbish the rumours saying “Amazing how some journalists can write the biggest load of nonsense to create sensationalism & then never apologise or correct their wrongs!” and following that with “Heard yesterday that I am in talks with some Japanese clubs??!?? That’s the 1st I’ve heard of it!!”.

Stormers name team for the semi final
The Stormers have named their team to take on the Crusaders in the semi finals. There are no real surprises, with Tiaan Liebenberg being promoted to the starting team for his extra bulk up front and his more accurate lineout throwing. Conrad Jantjies has been brought back at fullback as the coaching staff believe the Crusaders will continue with the kicking game they’ve displayed in the last few rounds, which means Gio Aplon moves to the wing and Jean De Villiers moving back into his familiar 12 jersey.
